Social Studies

The Social Studies Department strives to prepare students for active participation in our democratic society and to provide them with the requisite knowledge to make informed decisions in this era of globalization. By offering thought-provoking foundation courses in United States and World History, we strive to inspire students to become committed and responsible citizens of the world and life-long learners. The Social Studies Department offers courses to meet the diverse needs of our student population from Inclusion to Honors levels. The department continually updates curriculum to meet the needs of our students and to address changing state and national mandates and curriculum.
